Startu lake is a flow lake in Mārsnēni parish of Priekuļi region. On the south side is the starting point, from the village, which is built around the Startu manor, which also gave the lake its name. Startu lake area is 13, 2 hectares.
There is a stone named Veidenbaum on the southern shore of Lake Ray. The famous poet often sat on it.
There are a well-equipped picnic area with campfires, benches, tables, changing rooms and facilities in the public swimming area by the lake.
