A memorial site to Kārlis Ulmanis was erected in 1989. The memorial sign was erected in the place where, at the suggestion of Kārlis Ulmanis, 1935-1936. a birch grove was planted in.
As an agronomist, Kārlis Ulmanis lived and worked in Priekuļi for six months. In 1989, in the grove, the district agronomists’ association erected a monument to the statesman, which reads his words: “We are, we will be and will remain.”
Every year on September 4, a moment of remembrance takes place here.
