Bread House “Krūmiņi” offers activities for adults and kids. One can participate in the bread baking process, become master of the tart party and go on an adventure on Pine trail.
In Latvia bread is more than food, it is still the essence of life and at the House of Bread, we offer visitors to travel back in time to experience it. We are situated on a charming country farm near the town of Cesis. Here you can savor the unique flavors of Latvian dark rye bread, sourdough bread, and the
favorite native comfort food called “piragi” – buns with traditional bacon or apple filling. You will be immersed in local traditions and learn about the grain that goes into traditional Latvian bread.
For bread tasting, brunch, lunch or dinner full of flavors of Latvia, guests will be seated to feast at festively covered tables in a 100-year-old barn. You will be surrounded by Latvian song and dance and drink herbal tea, fresh lemonade or home-made wine (for adult groups only) from our very own wine cellar. Hosts are dressed in Latvian national costumes and speak Latvian, English and Russian, our premises allow to comfortably welcome groups of 20 to 50 people.
